little do the servants of dalton estate know that they're working for a family of witches and wizards. the daltons are a pureblooded family, as are the clarkes and baxters that have married into it. there are also a handful of witches and wizards within the nearby town and like the daltons, they too must keep their talents a secret from the muggle majority. while most of these are of age and so aren't monitored by the ministry of magic's trace, the ministry will intervene if required to do so. it may have become apparent through reference to purebloods and the ministry of magic that the estate and town lie within the harry potter universe. this is due to the original dalton family having been created on a harry potter forum and so when they were transferred to this setting, their magical abilities came with them. the spells and objects you come across here will be identical to those you would expect to see in harry potter - a wand purchased from ollivander's in diagon alley, cauldrons for brewing potions and summoning an object through the use of accio. in order to reflect the balance of magical and muggle people in the population, witches and wizards will be restricted to certain member groups. all members of the dalton family must be witches and wizards and it is likely that nobles invited to the house will also possess magical abilities. that said, there may be some muggle nobles who are of such a high class that they are invited to the estate though this is unlikely to be as a potential partner for any of the dalton children - the daltons are a pureblooded family and wish to keep it this way. a handful of the town's population will also be witches and wizards but to ensure that the majority are muggles, we'll be keeping a close eye on this.
