it is here that meals are served to the household after being brought up to from the kitchens by the footmen. servants eat when they have finished serving and in the servants' hall rather than the dining room.

after a meal, the men stay in the dining room whilst the women retreat to the drawing room, though they are later rejoined when the men have finished drinking.

all guests are invited into the house by the butler through the front door into the entrance hall. they are often asked to wait here while the person they wish to see is informed of their arrival.

run by the cook with the assistance of the kitchen maids, meals are prepared here for both the household and for guests before being taken up to the dining room by the footmen.

a large collection of books are kept on many shelves in the family library. most of them are novels by various authors but there is an almost equal number of non-fiction texts as well.

this is where all of the servants at dalton estate come together to eat and to socialise with one another. a staircase up from here leads to the house and there are two doors; one to the butler's office and another to the housekeeper's office.

although not an extremely large lake, it is still rather big. it is naturally deeper at some parts than others but is generally always cold, especially in the winter months.

not all of the estate is covered in flowers, in fact a large portion of the grounds is just open grass. while there isn't an awful lot going on, it's still a nice place to just sit around and do nothing.

this local baker floods the surrounding area with the mouth-watering smell of fresh bread. it's the number one baker in the town, but then it is also the only one!

here's where all the local fresh meat comes from. if you've been sent here by a noble then there's a reason, it's the best meat in town.

here you can pick up all the odd bits and bobs that you would need for day to day living.

here's where all your fresh vegetables will come from. they're usually of a good quality and almost always locally sourced.

looking to buy someone a nice piece of pottery? well why not come here and see if there's anything you like? they do a wide variety of pottery items so there's something for everyone. if you can afford it.

the church of st patrick is a small little building with modest decoration, and it's where all the local people can find god, and a monotone priest on sundays.

the boars head is the local pub, and it's not of the best standard but it's kept somewhat clean and the drink is good, if that's any consolidation.

nothing much special here, a little fountain, a couple of trees, an old time town centre cross and a couple of benches so it makes a nice place to sit on a warm day.

any other local shops that you would be in need of can be found here, so go take a look.

anywhere else not mentioned, from a little stretch of forest to a little mountain walk, that goes here.
